Hollyhocks Antique Shop

owned and operated by Mark and Paulette Grizzle.

Hollyhocks main shop is in the circa 1888 J. R. Allen home place. Showcased by this wonderful old home is our unique collection of antiques, furniture, custom floral arrangements and decorative accessories for the home.   We strive to have interesting gift items for children's birthdays, baby showers or the new bride.

Talking Rock Country Store

The Talking Rock Country Store was built about 1930 as a residence for the Simmons family.  Through the years in addition to families growing here, it has been a grocery store, a leather shop and now an antiques and collectibles shop full of memories of the past.  You will find vitriol's and radios from the 50s, tools, art and crafts.  There are records for phonographs, sheet music and good used books.  Do you remember the board games that we played as children? They did not exercise our two thumbs, but they did enable us to compete with our family and friends.  Come visit and enjoy the laid-back feeling of the past.

Latchstring Merchantile

owned and operated by McGee Spencer

Latchstring Mercantile is an antique and gift shop located in the Old Hat House - a millinery shop built in 1883.  From primitive antiques to handmade soaps, cashmere scarves, local honey, or pottery, the mercantile offers an interesting variety of items.  Stop by our coffee shop for coffee, hot chocolate or teas and enjoy it with a French almond croissant, apple or peach pie.  You're always welcome to sit down at the jigsaw puzzle table!  Open Friday and Saturday, 10-5, and Sunday 12-5. or by appointment.
